Fans of writer Edgar Allan Poe have gathered at a Baltimore cemetery hoping for the return of a mysterious visitor. The anonymous Poe toaster left three roses and a half-empty bottle of cognac at Poe's grave on the anniversary of the writer's birth every year for some six decades.
Last year, however, the visitor failed to show, disappointing the Poe fans who stood overnight in the cold hoping to catch a glimpse of him.
The no-show has added to the mystery behind the annual vigil.
