New Delhi: A UFO shape aerostat/balloon/limp will be display at Commonwealth Delhi Games 2010 today. The balloon is worth 20 million USD and is 80 metre by 40 metre in size and is 12 metre high and a part of CWG opening ceremony theme.

According to commonwealth games OC Secretary General, Lalit Bhanot the aerostat will be multi-purpose, with video content being projected on it, including animation and graphics and will also be synchronised with the events that will be taking place during the opening ceremony.

The projection will be of high-resolution and some of the live events during the Games will also be projected on the aerostat. The aerostat will lift scenic elements and create dramatic effects.

The USP of this aerostat is that it is used for holographic projection in 360 degrees so every person in the stadium can view the entire effect of the aerostat,' Viraf Sarkari, director of Wizcraft International Entertainment, said. There will be light fixtures with mirrors which will be fixed on the belly of the balloon and this will emit a warm glow.

Lalit Bhanot added it’s a great opportunity for India to showcase its culture and multidimensional history.

Now lets have look at some of the features which Mr. Lalit Bhanot is talking about.. A blimp with a glow at its bottom and so huge that it will cover the 1/3 of the stadium . Not only this CWG Balloon Blip will also lift scenic elements too.

In simple words we are talking about a classic disc shape UFO abducting the puppet (people) from the ground.

A fear tactics against disclosure ? More update coming soon...
