

NASA is putting its newest technology through its paces in the Arizona desert in a bid to simulate the surface of the moon or Mars.
A rover prototype, the Space Exploration Vehicle, which is the size of a pickup truck, has a pressurised cabin in which crew can live for up to 14 days.NASA'S Research and Technology Studies are testing rovers and robots to see whether the technology could one day be used in human space exploration missions.
Mike Gernhardt, a NASA astronaut and rover project manager, said: 'We're out here to simulate a planetary exploration mission using these dual rovers, or space exploration vehicles, and we set this up like it really is a real mission.
