

An Interview with Fred Batt by Nicole
Nicole: How did you get involved in Demonology, what sparked the interest and at what age ?
Fred Batt: I started to take an interest i all things paranormal and otherwise at the age of about 15 when I was walking past the Spiritualists Association in Belgrave Square London, and I went in.
Nicole: How does it fit with modern day religion/the church ?
Fred Batt:I have no definate religious belief, I keep an open mind about all religions
Nicole: What was your greatest challenge as a demonoligst?
Fred Batt; I think at Castle Houska in Prague when I was asked to call up Satan
Nicole: How did you get involved with Most Haunted etc ?
Fred Batt: I met Karl after seeing the show when it was in it's first series and I thought it would be good to get them to investigate my house & nightclub. After that Karl & Yvette became best friends.
Nicole: What is your most memorable experience, either with MH or otherwise ?
Fred Batt: There has been many over the years, but Prague has to be the one where I have felt the most uneasy.
Nicole: Caesars Nightclub is reputedly haunted. Have you ever seen a ghost there? Or experienced something there that you can't explain?
Fred Batt: Yes lots. Recorded voices, faces on video tape, screaming, etc.
Nicole: How did you become a Master of the Dark Arts and what exactly does it entail ?
Fred Batt: The title was mentioned on the first live I did by Paul Ross, I was introduced as a master of the dark arts.
Nicole: Have you ever performed a spell and if so did it work?
Fred Batt: Yes, many times, but you can't just do a spell and it will work, you have to believe in what you are doing.
Nicole: What words of advice would you give to a beginner wanting to dabble in sorcery and Black Magic etc?
Fred Batt: Study it carefully and make sure it is really what you want to do. Remember the rule of three.
Nicole: And finally, if you could choose any one place for youself and the Most Haunted Team to investigate, where would it be and why?
Fred Batt: Castle Houska, there is nowhere on earth like it.
