A 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Indonesia's coast yesterday, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said, although there were no immediate reports of damage and no tsunami warning was issued.
The quake hit at a shallow depth of 18 kilometres at midnight (AEST) around 190 kilometres from Sibolga on Indonesia's Sumatra island, the USGS said.
