Earthquake of 6.9 magnitude strikes Papua New Guinea

A 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck the New Britain region of Papua New Guinea today, the US Geological Survey said. There was no immediate tsunami warning for the quake, which hit 333km south-west of Rabaul at a depth of 32km.
