Having been silent for some time I fee that now is the time for another one of my rants.
The subject i have chosen is "Evil" - not the spiritual concept but the actual evil which affects us all on a daily basis - governments, countries corporations and institutions can all be evil - after all evil is in the eye of the beholder.
If you are a decent and aware person you will not cease to be disgusted by those people who earn vast amounts whilst working for charities - the subjects of these fund raisers barely receive the lion's share of the funds raised.
There are many examples of the evil intent in the corporate and business worlds - low pay, exploitation of the labour force, unlawful labour practices and unjust punishment of workers who try to stand up for their rights.
In this age of the internet we see evil on a daily basis - those sad deviants who sit anonymously behind their monitors and keyboards who create personas for their egos and stalk websites with the intention of self-gratification at the expense of other decent people, or the people who misrepresent themselves with the intention to prey upon other peoples ideas or hard work - when you hide behind a computer you don't have to look people in the eye.
As someone who has stood up against evil for most of my life I have lived according to some fairly simple rules - I won't be wronged, I won't be called a liar and I will not have a hand laid upon me without my permission and I apply all of the above to my family and friends and those who call upon me to act as their representative or consultant - yes I know it comes from the Shootist but it works well.
I have a philosophy which means I will not do bad things to people who don't do bad things to me.
Many people who face evil or its results on a daily basis are not in a position to fight back due to the constraints of their lives such as family work or debt.
I am very lcuky - I dont have those constraints which means wrongdoers find me to be outside of their control.
Whilst on the subject of evil - the question of aliens and ufo's comes up "are they evil?" - the simple answer is YES, if they were they would not have to hide - yes i know some you think they don't exist - but lets face it - the evidence is there!
As a final not to this rant I firmly believe in the french motto " Hon y soit qui mal y pense " or loosely translated - Evil to him who evil thinks

Grim Reaper – I must take issue with your following remark.
“Whilst on the subject of evil - the question of aliens and ufo's comes up are they evil? - the simple answer is YES, if they were they would not have to hide - yes i know some you think they don't exist - but lets face it - the evidence is there!”
I am sorry but with respect I find this remark both simplistic and absurd.
You say aliens/UFOs are ‘evil’ because they hide.
I can imagine such a comment in the junior school playground but on a forum that is presumably for adults it seems ridiculous.
So, would you also consider a chameleon for example to be “evil” became it also hides using camouflage methods?
Tell me straight you are joking – yes?
Grim Reaper - you also lecture us about anonymity, yet you comically also “hide” under a pseudonym.
Does this then make you “evil” by your own allegations?
Possibly a rethink over your own remarks would be appropriate herein.

GR - rants are great, no problem there, but do make them effective and more importantly 'accurate' or else they simply fail to deliver a really cutting edge...
No offence taken.

Me, I don't really think they are very friendly but then again, they haven't really been proven to be evil either.

Many chameleons have distinctive colouring and only camoflauge themselves when they sense danger, or to hide themselves from predators. They live amongst us in plain sight, Many are kept as domestic pets (rightly or wrongly) I don't see this analogy can work for aliens. GR says "Evil is in the eye of the beholder"
"Hiding" under a pseudonym is hardly "evil" it's merely a form of self-protection. Many people post on forums such as this anonymously, there's no harm in that, maybe they're protecting their jobs, or their families from the scrutiny of others. We all know how Governments, Employers etc scour the net for any info they can find on unsuspecting individuals.
GR .. I found THIS and THIS today, thought it would be of interest

And aliens may also live amongst us in plain sight, yet we are not aware of their presence.
Aliens may be "staring us in the face" in a form humans are unable to recognise. Lord Martin Rees, president of the Royal Society and astronomer to the Queen, said the existence of extra terrestrial life may be beyond human understanding.
I believe to allege that just because we cannot properly 'perceive' something with our limited understanding that it must be "evil" is highly simplistic and dangerous. In fact it is akin to intergalactic racism.
I have no trouble with 'pseudonyms' for self-protection purposes, yet when rants are extolled behind them this is another matter entirely. I post as the person I am and stand by my words in person. As the posts above indicate - this honesty does get me into hot water at times but that does not bother me overtly.
I think many analogies exist to prove that just because a being wishes to remain 'unseen' that it does not make it "evil".
Many reasons exist, or may exist, as to why we cannot always see aliens or UFOs.
Man is always quick to shout "EVIL" at anything he cannot understand and its high time we evolved from this dark age mentality. S'truth guys - this is how the witch burning holocaust started.
I still feel like this one is a wind up...

Anonymity on the internet is an interesting subject. I used to go under aliases that made me easily personally identifiable but after a nutter who believed that we faked the Moon landing decided to track me down (after I started rebutting his claims) and track my workplace down and proceeded to threaten me I decided it was time to move to a less easily identifiable alias.
The Moon is a lonely place

I think that one of the biggest problems is when anonymity is misused against people who post under their real name.
I have noticed politicians and their helpers doing this on a regular basis. So we are paying these types to represent us when at the same time they delight in abusing constituents on chat rooms. I have called these cowards out many times and even seen one sued recently for this unacceptable conduct.
I had pleasure in highlighting such things in my book Dirty Politics.
The internet does not give protection from legal process for those foolish enough to misuse this system.
They can be traced, and frequently are.

Anonymity on the internet is an interesting subject
it doesn't matter what name a person uses on the internet who can prove its real anyway? I can say my name is Graham Harry or Grim, does it make my points any less valid? you either like what you read or you dont plain and simple. it would be interetsing to see how people come to choose their usernames here. mine is a private joke representative of some of my work.
