Pablo Sandoval and Edgar Renteria must have lost the number for Ghostbusters, because they've decided to ditch the rest of the Giants in favor of a Milwaukee hotel that's a little less haunted. The Brewers have figured a way to enhance their home field advantage in a big way; by booking visiting teams in the Pfister Hotel, which many Major League players swear is infested with ghosts. Then, after players spend sleepless nights tossing and turning to the ghastly sounds of creaking doors and Bill Murray running around with a nuclear accelerator, the Brewers beat their weary opponents senseless. Well, in theory.
Milwaukee's historic Pfister Hotel is a hit with tourists, but continues to strike out with Major League Baseball players. Sandoval and Renteria left the Giants team hotel and checked in at another property down the street. Why? Ghosts. The 117-year old hotel is said to be haunted. Several players from other teams, including Adrian Beltre, have reported strange sounds during the night while staying at the Pfister.
