E.T. didn't really go home ... he morphed into a fence panel in Lincolnshire. The alien's head was spotted on the wooden panel of a house in Gainsborough by Jackie Wollaston as she put out the washing.

'I couldn't believe it when I saw it,' said the mother of five. 'This shape just appeared in the wood, and it looked just like E.T.
