Triumphant Barack Obama has won his bitter battle to push through historic healthcare reforms hailing the vote as "a victory for the American people".The relieved president spoke out after politicians voted 219-212 to approve the legislation, some of the most important in America for decades.

"Today's vote answers the prayers of every American who has hoped deeply for something to be done about a healthcare system that works for insurance companies but not for ordinary people," Mr Obama said.

He called the vote "another stone firmly laid in the foundation of the American dream"."If you have health insurance this reform just gave you more control by reining the worst excesses and abuses of the insurance industry with some of the toughest consumer protections this country has ever known," he said.

Democrats used their majority to muscle the measure through, losing 34 conservative party members who joined the united Republican opposition.

Well it looks like we are all in for a big bunch of crap here in the USA.  I was hoping this wouldn't get passed but hey I'm just one american in a crowd of people who are still chanting "YES WE CAN"...when I know eventually those same people are gonna say.  "We never should have".

Yes there are a mass amount of Americans very mad at the current President. Also I hear that Nancy Pelosi is getting some flack also.  I personally do not agree with the health care bill that is coming into affect. There is supposed to be something coming on TV at 11:15 a.m. with our president and the signing of the bill.  I don't know why they are calling this "Historic" the only history I see being made is the fall of the American nation under "President Barack Hussein Obama".  The longer he is in office the worse it is getting for the American people.

This is all I have to say:  They voted him in on his promises and his "Yes We Can" mummbo jumbo crap!  Now they can deal with it.  Sadly those who did not will also have to pay the price!

As far as threatening that man..c'mon people you know you can't get away with that...Stupid really.

*Forces laughter* I was reading today's paper which technically is Tuesday's paper about how theres a revolt going on between the Demo's and Republicans and they are looking to sue the government for voting this bill in. I believe one of the statements was that "This is unconstitutional."


As far as my opinion goes here I will try to be as politically correct as possible I will also keep in mind that there are some people here on this board who may have been in support of Obama during the president election.

Now my stance I didn't like the way how things where going for the election. I cannot say anything personal about the guy as I don't know the mans true motives or what he really stood for. I can only say that I didn't like the election voted against him cause he was making outlandish promises that I doubt he could have kept. There was also a few issues with as to where he was born. I also didn't like the fact that this stupid election would have been a hate crime if people didn't vote for Obama.
