The film - Paranormal Activity - took movie-goers by storm this year - and may have inspired others to set up some very real paranormal cams.

YouTuber Brian Yount has an on-going experiment with a video camera set up in his home. The first two videos from the experiment are here.

In the video, Yount says he and his wife hear footsteps going up and down their hall, and that their daughter saw something "black" in their bedroom.

On a night they knew they were not going to be home, they set up a camera on a tripod to see what they might catch on tape. The camera is set up in their bedroom, facing their doorway, very similar to how the recent fictional film was done.

But Yount says on his Youtube site that this is not fiction. "I can tell you this is real. But, I do know why you're saying what you're saying. A lot of stuff is faked. Really, if I wanted? to make a fake vid, I could have used fishing wire to make the door close by itself. But, I truly don't fake anything. Thanks for checking this out."
