These are the pictures that show a theme park not to be sniffed at - it's the former home of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar. From his eight-square-mile estate in the middle of the South American jungle, the mastermind ran a narcotics empire making him once the 10th richest man on the planet.
By 1989 Escobar sold 80 per cent of the world's cocaine, bombed governments and is believed to have killed nearly 4,000 people. But after his death in 1993 in a shootout with police, his estate lapsed into disuse.
Now his lush country pile is being revived with tourists queueing to see the bizarre theme park created in his honour. Despite his brutal reputation the drug baron spent much of his fortune converting his home into his very own fantasy land.
For just £5 tourists can now tour the site which includes giant concrete dinosaurs, a bullfighting ring and a zoo featuring giraffes, elephants, kangaroos and even hippos.
The park is also littered with countless references to Escobar's drug-running past with wanted posters, his burnt-out luxury cars and his bullet-ridden villa.
Even a plane he used to smuggle drugs to the United States still remains where he had it placed above the gate. Hacienda Napoles is attracting 50,000 people a year who come to see what is left of Escobar, or 'El Patron', as he was known locally.
Maria Munoz, 32, came from the Colombian capital Bogota 200 miles away to see the park. She said: 'You can see how much money he had, he was a very bad man but some people thought of him as a hero. 'It's amazing to walk around the home of someone who was so feared in the past.
