The Queen celebrates 60 years as Monarch in 2012. Her Majesty came to the throne on 6th February 1952 (her Coronation took place on 2nd June 1953). Love them or hate them, our Monarchy has been the mainstay of British life for years and this year we celebrate that achievement. A number of events and initiatives have already been announced and can be found HERE People all over will be hosting street parties and of course, this coming weekend (2nd - 5th June 2012} is a Bank holiday.

I don't think the British people will ever see an event like this ever again, the pomp and ceremony is unequalled anywhere in the world, so to everybody, have a fantastic weekend and be proud to be British and fly your flag with pride

[Even if it was made in China]
