A woman hiker got the fright of her life after she went walking with a friend in Spokane, Washington, and stumbled across what she claims is Bigfoot.Samantha, who has not revealed her surname, caught the footage in Downriver Park with her iPhone camera and posted the video on YouTube.

After capturing the mysterious creature, also known as a Sasquatch, on film, her YouTube video has become a hit and has already been viewed almost 8,000 times within four days.

I've got a sneaky feeling the footage was a hoax. Had it been a real sasquatch, I doubt it would have walked through the wood so close to human beings, it would have tried to remain hidden. Also just by looking at the way it walks, you can just tell it's a person in an ape suit, it doesn't walk at all like a primate. My youngest son has an ape suit and when he wears it and wanders around, it looks just like the primate in the footage.

Then again, I could be totally wrong, it could be a genuine primate of some sort that has evolved to a stage, just that little bit before the human stage, but I think I'd edge my bets on the former.
