AN alien with a lemon-shaped head tried to abduct two men, say X-files revealed today. The pair feared the extra-terrestial wanted to lure them into a glowing red spaceship as they headed home from a night out. They claimed he told them: "We want you, come with us." A 16-page dossier on the bizarre incident in Chasetown, Staffs, in May 1995 is among Ministry of Defence files released for the first time.
They contain reports of a string of other unexplained sightings in the 1980s and 1990s. They include a UFO spotted several times in a forest near RAF Woodbridge, Suffolk, in December 1980. It was said to be a 10ft-wide metallic object with flashing red and blue lights - and it left marks on the ground. Evidence from a senior US air force officer who saw it fills several pages.
And two women at the 1994 Glastonbury Festival reported seeing a UFO over the jazz tent. One described a "twirling set of moving lights communicating to us". The files are being made available on the National Archives website - just as more UFO sightings are reported.
