Osama bin Laden, hunted as the mastermind behind the worst-ever terrorist attack on U.S. soil, has been killed, sources told ABC News.

His death brings to an end a tumultuous life that saw bin Laden go from being the carefree son of a Saudi billionaire, to terrorist leader and the most wanted man in the world.

Funny how the interviewer didn't say "Whoa! Hold up for a moment. Murdered Bin Laden? How did that happen and when?"

Also funny how no one is mentioning that the scumbag they capped was living in a Mansion and not a cave.

And that Mansion was right next to the Pakistani Capitol!

This whole thing stinks of October surprise.

If it is in fact Bin Laden they should stuff a pound of bacon down his throat and another up his backside, wrap him in a freshly killed pig carcass and then tow him on a rope through shark infested waters.

Bin Laden Conspiracy Theories Live On

Quote

President Obama has said Osama bin Laden is dead - but how can he prove it? Rumours are already beginning to swirl around the lack of concrete evidence to prove the al Qaeda leader's death.

Osama Bin Laden’s Death: Proving Liberals Really Don’t Mean Their Rhetoric

Osama Bin Laden died and no liberals cried…for him. If they cried, it was tears of joy. Just like the rest of America.

When the rubber meets the road, liberals aren’t crying that:

    * Intelligence gathered, probably via “enhanced interrogation” in a secret prison (or if you’re a liberal, torture), lead to Osama’s death.
    * Justice meant a targeted assassination aka capital punishment
    * A country’s boundaries were violated to achieve justice (how can we violate a sovereign nation?!!)
    * Bullets were used
    * Base impulses like “vengeance” were indulged
    * Diplomacy didn’t achieve what 40 Navy Seals achieved.

There are probably more points, but that’s enough to establish the premise that when liberals talk about mercy and giving peace a chance and evolving and using words instead of actions…it’s all crap.

The most disgusting part of this reality is that liberals only believe in justice at the end of a bullet when they feel violated. So their friend whose daughter was kidnapped and raped and tortured should turn the other cheek and not be relieved and delighted when the killer is brought to justice, but when they lose their own loved one or their body, family, city feels threatened, the liberal suddenly becomes Chuck Norris–or more likely, is grateful that Chuck is willing to kick bad-guy ass.

The Navy Seals and the elite group who, says the Washington Post, ”
exist(s) outside military protocol and engage in operations that are at the highest level of classification and often outside the boundaries of international law”, are loathed and hated by the left. And, in fact, Cindy Sheehan, is one of the few nutters to remain ideologically consistent. Crazy as heck, but consistent.

Here’s a prediction over the next few days: The hard left will be ruminating on Osama’s death. They will feel guilty for feeling good. They will realize how they’ve undermined all their beliefs.

But, you protest, they didn’t undermine all their beliefs. Well, not with the Osama death they didn’t. The economic hypocrisy is something they engage in every day. The big homes, big salaries, and big competitive natures they possess? Their refusal to give extra taxes? Their insistence that environmental rules and regulations are for you, but not for them while they enjoy their private jets–that’s their economics daily hypocrisy.

Liberals don’t believe any of their own ideological garbage enough to actually live it. They just believe it enough to try to make your life hard by making you live it.

If they really believed their pap, they’d be crying tears for Osama Bin Laden. They’d be pining away for the injustice. They’d weep for the rule of international law and Geneva conventions that were violated. They would be wearing their pink shirts in front of the White House and yanking out their boobies in outraged protest at the gross violation of a sovereign nation’s borders.

But they don’t believe it. And they’re not crying. And those lack of tears tell you everything you need to know about the emptiness of the left’s ideology and rhetoric. It’s useful for political purposes. It’s useful to beat up Republicans. It’s not so useful when one actually cares about America and justice and closure and peace of mind.

Liberals bumped up against reality today, with Osama Bin Laden’s past-due demise. They’re sitting, happily, in the trap of their own making.

Tomorrow, I suspect, they’ll try to pretend today didn’t happen. We need to remind them: you actually enjoyed Osama’s death. And we enjoy watching you enjoy it.

Words Frigging Fail Me.

Osama bin Laden dead: Yes, SEALs were in on the raid, but aides hail Obama's office bravery

According to another one of those White House briefings of reporters designed to suck up all available credit for good news, President Obama's homeland security advisor reveals that it was a really tense time in the air-conditioned White House as unidentified U.S. Navy SEALs closed in on the world's most wanted man after midnight a half a world away.

"Minutes passed like days," says John Brennan, who bravely stood with press secretary Jay Carney before reporters and TV cameras today chronicling his boss' weekend heroics.

The heavily-armed commandos flying in a quartet of darkened Blackhawk and Chinook helicopters more than 100 miles into Pakistan were probably listening to their iPods and discussing the NFL draft.

"The concern was that bin Laden would oppose any type of capture operation," said Obama's Sherlock Holmes. So U.S. troops were prepared "for all contingencies."

In fact, this weekend was such a tense time in the White House that Obama only got in nine holes of golf. But he still managed to deliver his joke script to the White House Correspondents Assn. dinner Saturday evening.

Sunday was, Brennan revealed to his eager audience, "probably one of the most anxiety-filled periods of times in the lives of the people assembled here." Poor poor bureaucrats. Extra Tums all around. Did someone order dinner?

There may have been a little anxiety aboard those combat choppers. Who knows? We can't hear from them. And, as every day, anxiety in the kitchens, hearts and mind of thousands of military families who put up with the terrifying uncertainty of the dangerous deeds their loved ones have volunteered to secretly do for their country.During his 49 minute presentation Brennan did squeeze in one reference to the mission's "very brave personnel."

But the emphasis, with 2012 just around the calendrical corner, was on the boss' valor. "There was nothing that confirmed that bin Laden was at that compound," Brennan related as if such uncertainty is uncommon in war.

"And, therefore," Brennan continued, "when President Obama was faced with the opportunity to act upon this, the president had to evaluate the strength of that information and then made what I believe was one of the most gutsiest calls of any president in recent memory."

According to early reports of the incident, detailed here in The Ticket, 24 SEALs rappelled down ropes from hovering Chinooks in post-midnight darkness Monday Pakistan time with Osama security forces shooting at them. Brennan didn't have much time to go into all that today, the goal is to elevate the ex-state senator to at least a one-star commander-in-chief.

Here's something else that didn't get much recognition in all the street celebrations or all-hail-Obama briefings:

The trail to Monday morning's assault on Osama's Pakistan compound began during someone else's presidency. That previous president authorized enhanced interrogation techniques which convinced folks like Khalid Shaikh Mohammed to give up, among many other things, the name of their top-secret courier, now deceased. His travels ultimately led the CIA back to Osama's six-year-old suburban home.

Musharraf: Bin Laden mission violated Pakistan

Quote

Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf on Monday accused the U.S. of violating his country’s sovereignty by sending in special forces to kill Osama bin Laden.

“American troops coming across the border and taking action in one of our towns, that is Abbottabad, is not acceptable to the people of Pakistan. It is a violation of our sovereignty,” Mr. Musharraf told CNN-IBN, an Indian news channel.

He added that it would have been “far better if Pakistani Special Services Group had operated and conducted the mission. To that extent, the modality of handling it and executing the operation is not correct.”

Bin Laden was killed Sunday in a firefight with Navy SEALs in a million-dollar, fortified compound located in an affluent neighborhood in Abbottabad, about a two-hour drive from Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad.

Senior U.S. officials, who briefed reporters early Monday, said the Obama administration did not inform Pakistani authorities of the mission until after it was concluded.

Mr. Musharraf said the “lack of trust is very bad.”

“If two organizations [are] conducting an operation against a common enemy, there has to be trust and confidence in each other,” he said.

Pakistan is “totally on board” on fighting al Qaeda and Taliban.

Mr. Musharraf said it was possible that some local Pakistanis had colluded with bin Laden.

“A battle has been won, but the war continues,” Mr. Musharraf said, warning that “al Qaeda is still there.”

Hundreds join Quetta rally to honour bin Laden

Quote

QUETTA: Hundreds took to the streets of Quetta on Monday to pay homage to Osama bin Laden, chanting death to America and setting fire to a US flag, witnesses and organisers said.

Angry participants belonging to a religious party in Quetta, the capital of southwestern province Baluchistan, were led by federal lawmaker Maulawi Asmatullah. They also torched a US flag before dispersing peacefully.

It was the first rally in Pakistan after the United States announced that bin Laden had been killed in an overnight commando mission in Pakistan.

Organisers said between 1,000 and 1,200 people attended the rally, but witnesses put the figure closer to 800.

“Bin Laden was the hero of the Muslim world and after his martyrdom he has won the title of great mujahed (Muslim fighter),” Asmatullah said.

Usama bin Laden has died a peaceful death due to an untreated lung complication, the Pakistan Observer reported, citing a Taliban leader who allegedly attended the funeral of the Al Qaeda leader.

From a report dated December 26, 2001

Given the fact we have only Obama's word for the latest report, the fact the compound was burnt down and there is no body to see, this is a conspiracists field day now

Obama took SIXTEEN HOURS to make up his mind about Bin Laden mission

Quote

    * President 'slept on it' as tense military chiefs awaited decision
    * Action started the next morning when Obama declared 'it's a go'
    * Mission delayed by one day after heavy cloud cover on Saturday night
    * Navy seals dodged Pakistani security to reach Bin Laden's lair
    * Outpouring of emotion on streets down to 'the same sense of unity that prevailed on 9/11' Obama told members of Congress

Barack Obama kept military commanders hanging by declaring he would 'sleep on it' before taking 16 hours to give the go-ahead to raid Bin Laden's compound.

Hit squads of specialist Navy Seals - who were not even told who they were preparing to capture - had practised the mission at two reconstructions of the terror chiefs sprawling compound.

The mission looked set to be given the all clear last Thursday when analysts confirmed beyond doubt that Bin Laden was in busy town of Abbottabad in northern Pakistan.

But the president stunned officials when he told a national security meeting that he wanted more time to think - and disappeared out of the room.

'I'm not going to tell you what my decision is now - I'm going to go back and think about it some more,' said Obama, according to the New York Times. He then added 'I'm going to make a decision soon.'

The head of the CIA and other senior intelligence officers who were keen to proceed were left tense as they waited for the president's decision.

But the next morning after 16 hours, Obama summoned four top aides to the White House Diplomatic Room. Before they could speak, the president put his fist on the table and declared 'It's a go'.

With those three words, the greatest military operation in recent history began. Had it not been for heavy cloud cover on Saturday, troops would have been deployed then.

But they waited another day, and reached Pakistan just before midnight on Sunday evening. Obama refused to tell Pakistan about the mission in case it was leaked by jihadist sympathisers within the administration and Bin Laden took flight.

Luckily, the four U.S. helicopters were not detected by Pakistan's military who would have been quick to take action against the uninvited aircrafts.

After a 40-minute raid, the details of which are still emerging, Bin Laden was declared dead having received a bullet to the brain.

Millions of U.S. citizens still scarred by the atrocities of September 11 took to the streets to celebrate news that the world's most wanted terrorists had been killed.

Obama received a rousing standing ovation from his own party and political rivals alike yesterday as American's rejoiced in the defeat of Osama Bin Laden.

President Obama retold to members of Congress details of the skilled mission that claimed the head of the world's most wanted terrorist.

And for a moment rising gas prices, high unemployment and future economic concerns were forgotten as his 2012 re-election campaign received a massive boost.

Upon hearing Bin Laden's name, lawmakers of both parties interrupted the president with a standing ovation and whistles.

The moving applause came as scenes of celebration and reflection unfolded across the U.S. where citizens have longed for the Al Qaeda leader to be slain.

In Washington, hundreds of people continued to celebrate outside the White House after Obama had said earlier that the world was now 'a safer place'.

Baseball players in a game between the Los Angeles Angels and the Boston Red Sox  paused for a moment of silence before the match.

But perhaps the most emotional scenes were in New York, where memories of the 9/11 atrocity that shocked the world are still vivid.

Thousands of peoplemarked the occasion by converging at Ground Zero, the site of the World Trade Centre that was destroyed by Bin Laden's attack.

Guess it's pretty hard when one Muslim has to order the death of another Muslim.

Well the story on the streets here is that they did in fact kill Osama and they did a DNA test or some such nonsense.  I've even heard tell that they kept his brain for that purpose.  Now with that being said and described how he was killed...what part of that brain would be left.  The American people have already started asking for "Proof" They for all purposes want to see "Osama Bin Ladens" post mortem pics.  Now some say that is morbid and doesn't need to be seen..Then again it's no worse than watching people jumping out of the windows at The World Trade Center or the total devastation at the 3 locations in America that were inihilated.  I feel the world should have some type of "Proof" that he is in fact killed.

Barack Obama was forced to insist last night that he is ‘absolutely certain’ Osama Bin Laden is dead. His extraordinary intervention – a full three days after a U.S. commando shot the Al Qaeda leader in the head – came amid persistent *claims of a cover-up as he refused to release photographic proof of the bloodied corpse.

Mr Obama cited ‘national security’ as the reason for his decision.

I don't think the reasons that Obama is giving why the pics should not be released is legit enough.  First of all if the American people hadn't been lied to forever they wouldn't be asking for proof.

The release of video footage seized from Osama bin Laden's compound in northern Pakistan was part of the continuing effort by the US to convince doubters that the al-Qaeda leader was killed in last Monday's raid.

But people in Abbottabad seem sceptical about the authenticity of the films, as Orla Guerin discovered when she took to the streets of the town where bin Laden was said to have been hiding.
