Has ghost of Glastonbury pub been caught on camera?

Long reputed to be one of Glastonbury’s most haunted places, one of the ghosts of the George and Pilgrim has apparently been captured by camera. It was taken by a customer at the pub, snapping two of his friends, and it was not until they examined the photograph a few moments later that they spotted the shape in the image.

“We have been here for 12 weeks and we have heard and seen things in the cellar,” said Cathy Breakwell, who runs the pub and hotel with her partner AndyWhite. “At night you can clearly see orbs on the CCTV in the bar, and I have had things put into a glass of water when there was nobody in the room – but we couldn’t believe it when we saw the photograph – it was amazing.

“He took it right in front of me, in a bar full of customers, and every photograph he took afterwards didn’t have the shape in it.”

In September of 1931 in a small farm house on the Isle of Man, the Irving family began hearing odd sounds coming from the attic of the home. Initially, they sounded like a wild animal moving around, but after a time the ‘animal’ began making sounds reportedly similar to those of a baby learning how to speak. It then began to mimic words spoken by the Irvings, much in the fashion of a parrot.

Within months, the creature, which the family apparently hadn’t yet seen directly, began speaking increasingly fluent English, relating to the Irvings that it had been born in New Delhi, India on June 7, 1852. No explanation was given as to how the animal got to Britain. Other paranormal activity began happening around the house, such as objects flying across the room inexplicably. The voice of the creature began spying on the neighbors and reporting back to the Irvings, and shortly after the creature revealed itself to be a mongoose, or something similar and even allowed itself to be petted by Margaret Irving... continues

Elva Zona Heaster: The Ghost Who Helped Solve Her Own Murder

One January afternoon in 1897, Erasmus (aka Edward) Shue, a blacksmith, sent his neighbor’s young boy to see if Elva, Shue’s wife of three months, needed anything from the market. When the neighbor boy walked through the front door of the Shues’ rural Greenbrier County, West Virginia, log house, he found Elva’s lifeless body at the foot of the stairs. The boy stood for a moment looking at the woman, not knowing what to make of the scene. Her body was stretched out straight with her legs together. One arm was at her side and the other rested across her chest. Her head was tilted to one side.

At first he thought that the woman was simply asleep on the floor. He stepped toward her, quietly calling, “Mrs. Shue?” When she didn’t respond, he panicked and bolted from the house. He told his mother what he had found and she summoned the local doctor and coroner, George W. Knapp..... continues

I bet without reading further that you already know the answer, or, at least you think that you know the answer. On the surface this question seems simple, but, in fact it requires a certain amount of introspect into the question as did one of the previous blog question, “Are there gay ghosts”?

If ghosts or spirits are a reflection of which we are in this life, then, the answer is that ghosts or spirits are made up of every color, ethnic mix and every other demographic group there could possibly be on the face on this earth... continues

Stonyfell ghost hunters spook the neighbours
